One thing a lot of couples consider when designing their wedding day is if and how they can incorporate current trends into their day and how those trends will translate years down the road when looking back at their photography.
Here at Sincerely Pete & Wanderlust Wedding Co, we love some of the trends we see this year and think implementing these ideas into your wedding day will truly elevate your wedding photography, without any regrets down the road.
These are a few of the trends we think will make a huge impact both on the wedding day and in your photos:
Bold Blooms
Color is making a comeback and we love pops of bold colors and gorgeous blooms. Incorporating color into your wedding day will translate beautifully in your wedding album.
Destination weddings
More and more couples are choosing to truly make their wedding an experience. Couples are looking at destinations overseas as well as across the US. Destination weddings are usually multiple day experiences infused with cultural activities. Destination backdrops make for truly stunning photos!

Personalized food & treats
We are seeing more and more personalized food choices from a couple’s favorite dish to family recipes and throwbacks to childhood favorites. Couples will love looking back on these special touches in their wedding photos.
Mixed bridesmaid dresses & textures
This trend has been growing over the last couple years and we’re happy to see it continuing this year. We love the interest that mixed dresses and textures give in photos but also in allowing personalities to shine through.
The New Neutrals
We’ve seen a few years of blush and ivory really being driving design factors and don’t think that will ever totally go away but we’re so happy to see new neutrals coming into play. Dusty blues, grays and charcoals, pewters and olive still lend to a soft romantic wedding day look, but with a modern twist that will stand the test of time.
